Hearts, a Pocket & a Little Girl | Anne Keller

Hey everyone,

Anne on the blog today. I'm so happy to be here and have the chance to share my projects with you.

Some little facts about me: I'm still 29 for the next six days and I'm a medical student. I'm married to a wonderful man since 10 years and we're parents of two adorable and wild daughters. I love everything sweet&sour, we love to go camping and we live in our favorite city in Germany. I'm a scrapbooker since 2011. What I love most about scrapbooking is the creative flow, I'm able to calm down and turn off my head while I create. I really enjoy this.

Back to the gorgeous Lola kit: I have a layout to share with you today. This time I used a patterned paper as my background. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to use it like this.

I started with a black & white photo of my little daughter. I layered lots of paper and some of the gorgeous packaging under my picture and ruffled the edges. The layering part is often my first step.

Then I decided to rip off a bigger piece of my background paper and fill the gap with a confetti pocket. I just used a clear package that came with the kit, filled it with the little confetti hearts and glued it on the back of the paper. I love the transparency. After that I decorated everything with a beautiful flower and some journaling stripes. I usually print my journaling on vellum. It looks light and airy and it's easy.

Now some embellishing: I used chipboard shapes and the die cuts to create some little cluster. I always use bigger and smaller pieces, let them overlap a little bit here and there and I use some shapes more than one time, like the hearts or the circles on this page. This helps to balance your page.

At the end I added a tab with the date and some black splatters. And then it's done. I'm excited to see your Lola projects. Make sure to show them in the FJ Facebook group and tag them #fjlola on instagram.
