Hi everyone! I'm back with you today to share another layout using the beautiful Summer Kit. A couple of weeks ago my daughter met my brother's new puppy and instantly fell in love! It was so sweet watching her look after and play with little Millie all day and it just made Madi want a puppy of her own even more!
To document this sweet moment I chose the pretty aqua watercolor paper for my background, cut my photo to a circle and matted it with white cardstock and the red grid paper.
The floral patterned paper in the kit was just begging to be fussy cut so I got to work with my scissors to create the feature embellishment for my page. I layered two flowers on top with foam squares and added more foam squares under the outer leaves to add some dimension to the cluster.
My strip journaling was positioned above my photo and I added a stitch to each end of each strip.
At the top of my design I created a little cluster using the 'Hello' die cut speech bubble and little black star along with two chipboard stickers and the 'unforgettable' stamp from the Summer stamp set.
To finish my page I added some black paint splatters and the date. I really love the gorgeous reds and greens against the subtle aqua background!
I've also got a process video for this layout...
I hope I've inspired you to get your scissors out and get creative with some fussy cutting! Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! See you soon!
