Hi crafty friends,
Jana here. Are you loving the Sarah April kit as much as I am? The combination of blue and yellow and mint is just amazing. I am going to share with you a layout with a big photo.
I keep saying it all the time but it is true. I LOVE photos and if I happen to have really good ones I print them out BIG! The layout has 8,5x11 inches and the large photo is 4 inches wide. The colour combo was given by my daughter´s yellow vest coat and my son´s jumper. There you go, yellow and blue for the win!
I don´t know about you but I can never cut off the scallop edge at the bottom of the colour paper! I always want to use it somehow. This time I went for white background and a yellow frame which is asymmetrical. To save up a bit of that beautiful yellow paper, I cut out the bit that is covered by the white paper.
The blue scallop is cut out from paper package and the big chipboard alphabet is so great! I have never seen anything else with such a great texture!
I also used a few photo corners because that is something totally new for me and I like it so much! Brings back vibes of old times, doesn´t it? On the top of the layout is another cluster of embellishments and a stamped date.
The journaling is quite long but I could have it even longer. I love telling the story of the photos.
That is all from me today. I can´t wait to share more projects with you from this beautiful kit! And now tell me, do you use big photos on your layouts?
