Hello, Everyone!
I'm so happy to be up on the blog this week to help celebrate this amazing milestone birthday for Felicity Jane! I hope you've been enjoying the bright and colorful Jenny kit as much as I have this month!
Today I have a fun birthday-inspired TN spread to share with you. Now, if I'm being completely honest, August is actually my birthday month. However, I was feeling much more inspired to use these sweet photos of my daughter on her first birthday back in March, so we're going to roll with it! I still have plenty of goodies to document my own birthday at a later time :)
For this layout I printed out four 2 inch photos. These were actually "outtake" photos that I hadn't yet had a chance to document. I call these "outtake" photos because they're ones that I caught in those in between moments when my daughter was looking away from the camera, had a quirky smile on her face, or just had that movement blur. These are always my favorite types of photos so I knew they needed a special place in my traveler's notebook.
I started my layout by adhering down a piece of pattern paper to the whole right side of my page. I love the celebratory words that are acting as the background. Next, I adhered my photos, making sure they were a little offset and overlapping in some areas. I added some fringe underneath a couple of photos and then pulled out some of the colorful die cut pieces and tucked them under the sides of my photos.
For the left page I decided to do a bunch of stamping. I tore a piece of pattern paper to act as the background of my journaling. I went for a torn look mainly because I wanted to do something a little different, but I really love the texture that the imperfect edges add to the page. I feel like it worked so well with the little stitching marks I stamped on the sides. I used a bunch of the stamps to really fill out the page and just embellish a little, and then I added some of the phrase stickers to both sides of my layout to tie everything together.
I'm really happy with how this layout turned out, and I'm so happy to have these "outtake" photos in my notebook now. Thanks for letting me share this project with you.
Happy Crafting!
Sarah
