Hello FJ friends,
It's me Valeska from Portugal and it is my first time here on the blog as a member of the FJ Creative Team. I'm so happy to be part of this amazing team and start sharing my love for FJ products with you!
Today I want to show you a little accordion mini album that I created with the Margot collection. This collection is perfect for spring photoshoots and lovely days, don't you think?
Let's talk about how I created this mini album! I cut 4 pieces of cardboard to make the structure of my mini album. Two pieces of 5"x5" for the cover and back cover and two pieces of 2"x5" and 1.75"x5" for the spines.
On the cover I cut the cardboard square diagonally, and I got two triangles that crossed each other making the front cover.
Everything was covered with papers from the paper pack: scallops to front cover and pink to spine and back cover.
After covering the entire cardboard with the papers and glue, I fussy cut the flowers from the floral paper delicately and placed them on the front cover and added die cuts from the collection.
As you can see, it's an easy and simple way to decorate my cover. After finishing the external structure, I began with my inside pages. I cut 4 pieces of paper from the Margot collection : 2 pieces of Tiny Dots and Honeycomb and 2 pieces of Daisies and Stripes in 4.5"x9" and then I scored the papers in 4.5"x4.5" and scored again in 5"x4.5". I folded the paper where I scored, and glued the folded part on the other folded paper, alternating patterned papers, making a zig zag and then I glued the first piece of my accordion on my back cover.
As a frame for my photos, I cut out some squares of white cardstock with metal dies and placed them on my inner pages. As well as library card pockets from the Margot collection, with library cards from the Aspen collection to make some journaling and also for storing photos of other sizes.
I decorated my pages with die cuts, vellum numbers and squares from the 6x6 cut apart sheets. So, my mini album is ready to receive all the photos, journaling and details that I want to keep.
I hope you enjoyed this inspiration and thank you for stopping by. I would love to help you if you have any doubts about this project.
Have a great and creative day!
