"Hello Sweet Love" Layout + Process Video | Sheree Forcier

Hi everyone!

For the layout I’m sharing with you today I really wanted a design where I could showcase as many of the beautiful patterned papers as possible. I absolutely adore all the colours and designs in this kit!

I originally thought about punching out some hearts from the different papers but then I thought it would be fun to make some origami hearts instead.  They add dimension to the page and were easy to make too! If you search Pinterest there are so many tutorials to show you how to make them and there are a variety of designs to choose from. 

Once I had my origami hearts made, I started putting my page design together. I built up some layers behind the photo making sure I had a nice mix of colours. I also used one of the gorgeous puffy title stickers and the white puffy alphabet for the title along with the word LOVE which I printed out using one of the digital stamps from  Alexis Digital Kit. I tucked a tag from my stash in behind the photo with some twine as an extra layer then added the ‘this’ die cut and the ‘remember’ stamp in the top left corner.

I positioned the origami hearts under the photo, stuck them down with a little double sided tape and then added some messy stitching the centre of each heart. 

I love the dimension and extra texture this adds to the page!

At the bottom of the page I stamped the grid stamp from the Alexis stamp set in the centre then added the black and white stripe branding strip and a variety of pretty paper strips to build some layers. The journaling was printed using my computer. I added some more texture by machine stitching along the strips and the edges of the journaling block too.

I really have had so much fun creating with the Alexis Kit so far and I have so many pieces left over for more projects.  I hope I’ve inspired you to get scrapping with your goodies too…or perhaps to try adding some origami shapes to your next layout!
