Adelina here for my very first Felicity Jane blog post! Today I’m sharing a layout I did for my Coffee Album of Alfred Coffee in Los Angeles, CA. I’m using the Henley physical kit. If you follow me on Instagram (a_starace), then you know I’m a serious coffee addict. I have a 6x8 album where I document coffee beans I’ve tried and coffee shops I’ve visited.
I’m a very process oriented person, so the first part of my layout process is printing out my photos and gathering my ephemera. For my coffee album layouts this usually consists of a branded coffee sleeve, a photo of a branded cup or a business card. Once I had my photos and ephemera placed in my layout and cut down, I went through the kit to decide what items would work well with the color scheme of this particular coffee shop.
I ended up cutting down one of the 3x4 journal cards and using it as a label. I used the white puffy alpha stickers from the Alexis physical kit to indicate the location of the shop and stained them with some ink that matched.
The puffy white stickers stain nicely with dye ink if you’re ever trying to find a particular color. Be sure to stain them on some wax paper and let them dry completely. It’s a fun little trick! I used the Henley Stamp Set to stamp the sentiment “more of this” above a date stamp on the label I created.
Next I stamped the word “coffee” on a journal card using the Basics Lowercase Alpha. I really like integrating stamps into my layouts and it’s usually an alpha. Type is a great way to add detail to your layouts. I grabbed a heart shaped paperclip and added a photo over the stamped word to complete that journal card.
I finished off the layout by adhering part of the coffee sleeve to a journal card and embellishing it with Henley Die Cut Shapes and Henley Washi Stickers.
