Her First 4th | Banning Lane

Hi! It's Dannielle and I am here to share a layout with you all today. It's Inspired by Monday here on the Felicity Jane blog, and since it is also the 4th of July, I decided to use the holiday as the inspiration for my layout.

Here is a peek at my finished page

I don't think I have ever scrapped any of our 4th of July photos, besides in my Project Life album. I decided to start with our first "family" 4th of July... because it was the best one!

I started this layout with picking out the papers I wanted to use. I ended up finding a couple of 3x4 cut apart cards that worked perfect with my theme. I LOVE the red and white polka dot card so much!

I used my silhouette to cut out a scalloped border for my photo, I am kinda obsessed with scallops lately. I also used some foam tape to pop up my photo.

I loved the red, white, and blue theme I had going, but I couldn't help but throw on some of the fantastic green that came in the kit. I found a label and a heart banner on the cut apart sheet. I think they were the perfect little touches for this layout.

I used one of the 3x4 cards as a home for some journaling. I went along with the words on the cards and wrote down a few things that could be seen that day.

The one 4x6 photo fit with the design of my layout, but I had a couple 3x4 photos that I wanted to include with my layout. I created a pocked on the back of my page to tuck them into.

Simple layouts are my favorite, and I love the way this one turned out. Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!
