My name is Sarah, and I'm so excited to be joining the Felicity Jane Creative Team! I've been a scrapbooker/memory keeper for the past 15+ years and I have to say that one of my favorite things about memory keeping is that I get extra time to process each special memory as I build every project with photos and journaling. Of course it also doesn't hurt that this craft involves working with pretty products and that the creative community is so awesome! I hope that in the upcoming months you find some inspiration in the projects that I share here, and maybe find a tip or two that you can use in your own projects!
Today I'm working in my TN and using the gorgeous new Lola kit to document my daughter's 6-month birthday. I always have dozens of photos that I take on these monthly milestone days and I try to include as many as I can into her notebook as the opening page.
I started by cutting my full page photo to approximately 5.75 inches wide by 8 inches tall and 3 smaller square photos sized 2.5 inches.
I also trimmed my pattern paper to approximately double the width of my notebook page (approx. 8.25 inches) so that it could fold in half and I could include bits and pieces on the inside and outside flap.
I wanted to do something a little different for my journaling so I created a vellum pocket where it could be tucked inside. I also embellished the journaling card by adding some stamping. The Lola stamp set is perfect for providing some journaling prompts!
Lastly, I embellished my page with some of the pretty die cuts and called this page done!
If you'd like to take a more detailed look at how this page came together, there's a process video below . . .
I just love how all of the pretty colors in the Lola kit complement these photos, and I just can't get enough of that floral pattern!
Thanks so much for joining me, and I'll see you again soon with another project!
