Ho Ho Ho | Mandy Melville

Hi everyone! Mandy with you today, and I have one last layout to share with you using the 'Hello, Christmas!' kit! If you missed out on this kit, you can now purchase the 'Hello, Christmas!' mini kit (which is the same kit minus the album and page protectors)! How great is that?

On this layout I wanted to feature some of the awesome Felicity Jane cut files that are available from the Silhouette Design Store!

I've documented a photo of my handsome boy that I took on Christmas Day. I can't believe how grown up he is looking lately!

I used the light wood patterned paper for my background. I decided to leave the branding strip on, because I really liked the look of this, and just cut a strip off the top of the patterned paper to make it 12x12.

I love the Striped Christmas Tree cut file! I cut it out of the buffalo check patterned paper from the 'Oh, Deer' kit, and then I added some lace to it that came in the pack of of trims in the 'Hello, Christmas!' kit. I love the extra bit of detail that this gives the tree!

The die-cut deer looked perfect layered in front of the Christmas Tree, and it also adds some extra dimension to the page.

I added some foam tape behind the photo to lift it up, and then tucked a flair button as well as one of the tags from the kit under the right hand side.

The title is one of my favourite parts of this layout! I cut the 'ho ho ho' out of my background paper using a Felicity Jane cut file, and backed it using two of the solid colour papers from the kit. I then decided to place the piece that I had cut out back over the top but shifted slightly to the right so that you can see the colour peeking through. I just added glue in a few places to hold it down as I didn't want it stuck flat. I really like how this turned out!

Up in the top right hand corner I added another Felicity Jane cut file. This one is called 'String of Lights'. I cut it from white cardstock and then added some tiny pieces of foam tape underneath it to give it some extra dimension.

I finished the layout off with a sprinkling of the gold star sequins (which you can now purchase separately as an add-on), as well as a few of the wood veneer stars from the kit.

If you're still documenting your Christmas photos, why don't you go check out the gorgeous Felicity Jane cut files that are available in the Silhouette Design Store, and if you missed out on the 'Hello, Christmas!' kit, go grab yourself the mini kit while it's still available (and at an awesome price too!)
