Hello FJ fans!
Are you also so excited about the Aspen kit like me? I don't know whether it is the absence of the kit in January but Aspen does feel very special. The colour combination is gorgeous and there are so many wonderful bits and pieces, like the fringe, hearts or the stamp set that I really love!
I was in the mood to put together another pocket page. I didn't do many pocket pages last year so I guess I am just itching to do more this year.
I had this 4x6 big photo that I wanted to use but I was lacking space for journaling plus the photo is quite dark. Therefore I decided to use this little trick with a vellum paper and placed it over the photo. It is actually pretty easy but effective. You just fold the vellum and attach it to the back of the photo. It is outside the pocket so you can lift it to see the picture. I went for a white gel pen to do my journaling and it creates a nice soft touch.
For two cards I did some die cutting using a snowflake from my stash. It is always good to add a snowflake! Also I cut one of the frames in two and used both pieces on different photos to embellish them. Don't be afraid to use your die cuts in a different way!
This beautiful spotted paper is from a 6x6 paper pack! Such a great add on to your kit - new designs!
Making pocket pages is so easy and versatile when you have the right kit, and Aspen definitely IS the right kit!
Have a lovely week!
