"Home" Scrapbook Layout | Kerstin Scheidler
Hello FJ lovers! Kerstin here! The awesome Aspen collection with its magical colors and embellishments has inspired me to this layout. Coziness, books, a cup of coffee and my loved ones around me - this is what home feels like...you can not express it more perfectly - or?
First, I cut out the letter "H" from 12 x 12 Essentials White Cardstock in size of 3 1/2 x 6 inches. Then came the more time-consuming part. In the evening to watch TV I have with my scissors - have I mentioned that I love my scissors - for sure! ... laugh - cut out many houses from the Aspen Houses paper.
I colored the cut out cute little houses and glued them to the prepared letter with 3D Foam.
Before I pasted the letter with the houses onto my 12 x 12 Essentials White Cardstock, I made some watercolor paint daubs in a light blue and a light pink. To position the color correctly, I placed the letter before and lightly marked the place of the color with a pencil.
I added my photo and got creative with the various Aspen Bits and Pieces - Chipboard Bits, Die Cut Shapes and Sticker Sheet.
I glued the stickers from the Aspen Sticker Sheet onto white copy paper and cut them out so I can use them as die cuts or possibly change the place before they stick.
I used the Aspen Puffy Alphabet Stickers to complete the word - H from cardstock, O M E from the cool Aspen Puffy Alphabet!
Oh, before I forget - the awesome Aspen Chipboard Heart Stickers are soooo great that you actually want to hoard them....is it just me? I have the sweet Chipboard Heart Stickers still spread on my cut out houses!
I love how this layout came together. I hope I can inspire you to get creative. Maybe you'll pick up your scissors and start cutting out the cute little houses.
