"I Create Magic Here" Mini | Tiffany Julia

Hey everyone!

Tiffany here with a very meta mini book using the Julia kits along with some other pieces from various past kits. My favorite product from the kit this month is the stamp set. Since it had a lot of sentiments about creating, I decided to create a little mini all about my love for creating! It's a bit meta to scrapbook about my scrapbooking but I love documenting the process too!

I made a little 4x6 book with some white cardstock-covered chipboard as the covers and various pattern papers from the Julia kit cut down to size, all bound with the FJ soft pink binder rings. I made this book in one sitting, spending at least 10 hours working page to page on this book. I kind of batched my process with creating this mini, making all of the little layouts on each page first, then going back to figure out the journaling sections afterwards. I won't go into too much detail about this mini page by page, but instead will show you how I've utilized the stamp set throughout the album.

For the covers, I kept them really simple and only decorated the front cover with some of the pattern paper and one of the Julia chipboard buttons. I lined the inside covers with that mint plaid paper. My first page acts as the title cover page of my book. Here I used a combination of the Amanda puffy alpha stickers and the mini puffy alphas, along with that "create" die cut piece from the Julia kit to write out "I create magic here." I embellished the page with just one of the floral die cut pieces.

For my spreads, I worked on them all the very same way. I first created my little photo cluster by layering pattern papers, tissue paper, white tulle, and a white doily. Sometimes I'll add a bit of the Julia washi tape to the background as well. Then I embellished the page with an assortment of puffy stickers and epoxy dots. Almost all of my spreads have a bit of stamping to it. I incorporated a lot of the stamp sentiments into each page by creating some stamped ephemera pieces, which I either tucked behind my photo clusters or layered on labels on top of my photos. You can see I used that "details" stamp throughout this mini tucked within different photo clusters. I also used the sentiments that say "how it started," and "this is happiness" as little label pieces on top of photos on other spreads.

For my journaling spots, I mixed up the sizes of the grid paper to be either a full area of journaling or little half boxed areas to showcase the pattern papers. For the pages where I used the solid colored cardstock from the 6x6 paper pack, I added a bit of stamping to the background in a coordinating ink color to create my own fun patterns. I used sentiments from the stamp such as "it's my thing," "my story," "work in progress," and "create create create."
