Do you know that feeling when you look back at your past couple of layouts and they all look pretty similar - same positioning, same colors, same approach? When I feel stuck that way, I like to challenge myself. For me this means using multiple photos on one spread.
So here is what I came up with for my first creative team project: I looked at Pinterest (surprise..!) in search for new inspiration, but rather than picking one particular project, I thought it would be fun and definitely challenging to use Pinterest's overall layout as a basis for my own spread.
Are you ready for a little peek into my Norway Travel Journal?
I chose four (!) photos from our last trip to Norway, cut white cardstock and a couple of papers from the Maggie Kit into different lengths and rounded the corners.
Then it was only a matter of positioning and embellishing.. At least, that's what I thought. But I could not have been more wrong! This part was really challenging because the spread was already full and felt quite laden as it was, with all the papers and pictures. I really missed my white space, haha!
I was pushing the pieces around and around and it just didn't seem to want to work, until I pulled out some vellum and used it to tone down the papers a little bit. I printed my journaling on vellum as well and stamped a couple of sentiments on labels. And there it was, that little bit of light feeling I like so much on scrapbook pages! The vellum worked magic, I'm telling you!
I hope all of you have a fantastic start into the week. Happy Monday :)
