There's something rather lovely about the fresh starts associated with this time of year, isn't there? That chill in the air as the little ones head back to school in new coats, with freshly sharpened pencils in their bags. I just love that sense of clean slates and organisation.
So I took my inspiration for this page from the memo board I have stood behind my desk. I've recently painted it white in broad, loose strokes - the perfect backdrop for pinning up any inspiring images or information relating to current projects. It's not careful or ordered, but haphazard and relaxed: hence the thinking behind today's layout...
It's hard to believe that a whole year has passed since we brought the Ragdoll Twins home, but here we are already. And from the word go, little Muffin was Kitty's favourite girl (you can see my little side-kick Mittens sitting in her usual spot on my desk in the earlier photo!)
As usual with these kits, as soon as I open my box, I know which pieces I'm going to make a bee-line for first... I can never resist the crispness of the more graphic elements like the October cut-apart and this 'favourite' puffy sticker.
This time I was absolutely determined to get a minimal, clean feel! That said, I don't think I'll ever stop layering up elements and ruffling their edges a bit: there's neat and then there's just not me, right?
What do you love about this time of year? What memories does October invoke for you? I wonder how many stars you'd give this season? It definitely gets a full five from me!
