Happy Wednesday Friends!
It's Sheree here and it's time for a brand new sketch challenge today here on the blog... yay! This month I've designed the sketch for you all to play with and I hope you enjoy it! Let's take a look...
You can really play around with your placement and number of photos with this one...use three photos or use just one, two or more! It's totally up to you. Here's how my layout turned out...
My 12 x 12 layout is documenting some simple everyday things which the Krystal Kit is just perfect for. I decided to make the two columns on my page the same width as my photos…3 inches wide.
The three pieces down the first column are all 3 x 4 inches each and are made up of the green polka dot Krystal paper, the main photo and the bold striped Krystal journaling card. The second column has two 3 x 3 inch photos, another journaling card and a 3 x 2 inch piece of floral patterned paper from the Krystal Kit.
I made a little cluster at the top of the page with the pretty house die cut, two chipboard pieces and a gold charm. The floral and banner die cuts were added to the main photo, then I made another little cluster at the bottom of the first column too with a chipboard tag from the Harper Kit, a puffy Tori bow and a stamped phrase. I stamped the row of hearts for the tag using the Lindsey Stamp Set and the Lindsey Metal Die Set made it super easy to cut out.
Stitching was added throughout the layout and the title was added down the side using the Krystal puffy alphabet with a little Megan puffy heart in the center. Overall I followed the sketch pretty closely which made it so fun and easy to put the page together.

Some of our other Creative Team members have also created projects using the sketch as inspiration to share with you too! First let's check out the beautiful layout that Jana has created...
Hello everyone!
Do you also love Sheree's sketch as much as I do?! And do you know what I love the most about it? Oh yeah! Lots of photos, exactly my cup of tea! As soon as I saw the kit I knew I had to use these "quarantine" photos. They go so well with the theme and the colours of the Krystal kit. It was really easy to put this spread together. You just simply follow the sketch Sheree has prepared for us. I went for a rectangular page and used a few bits of patterned paper. I was tempted to use the beautiful florals but I think I am kind of saving them for later ...
I can't wait to see what you create with this beautiful sketch!

Next up we have Lindsey with her gorgeous take on the sketch...
Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! I don’t usually scrapbook multiple photos (other than in my pocket page album) so I thought I’d use this month’s sketch as inspiration for a Bible journaling entry and focus on multiple Bible verses rather than photos. I printed the verses on vellum and then stitched them onto a journaling card and some of the Krystal patterned papers. I used the Jaimee Stamp to bring in the stitch and scallop detail from the sketch. I used a mix of Krystal and Madison alpha stickers to create my title and laid it out in a way that would keep your eye moving around the page. A couple of Krystal embellishments, along with a label and tag from my stash, finish off this simple page in my Bible.

Tiffany has also created this sweet project for us to see...
Hey everyone!
How fun is Sheree's sketch this month? I adapted it and created a 6x8 layout to fit in my Note to Self binder. It was a bit tricky getting the proportions right, but once I managed to find pieces that worked well, the entire thing came together rather quickly. Since I was working on a smaller format, I only included one photo. I cut a few of the patterned papers into small squares and tiled them down the middle of the page. I added my photo in the middle of the tiled papers, layering a floral die cut, a label, and a floral chipboard piece on top. Amongst the tiled papers, I used that lovely pink tag, adding three of the wood veneer hearts to it. Below the tag I have my journaling and for the title, I used the Krystal puffy alphas. To finish it up, I did go ahead and added a bit of stitching to the layout, giving the entire thing a bit more texture. I feel like this layout came out fairly well for being such a small project!

Finally we have a beautiful layout from Ulrike. Let's check it out...
Hi everyone!
The FJ sketch challenge is always so much fun and of course I had to make a version of the wonderful sketch of our super talented team mate Sheree.
I decided to make a 12x12 page and I wanted to use my pictures of Los Angeles in January 2020. I love the memory of this trip and have amazing pictures from the view from the Griffith Observatory on the Hollywood Hills and other pictures I never scrapped until now. The colors matching perfectly with the gorgeous new Krystal collection. I wanted to do the grid design of Sheree's, but I wanted to use one big picture which goes over the complete width of the grid stripes.
First I cut my four pictures into the right size. I used 2 1/8 and 2 3/4 inch width. The big picture has a 4 7/8 inch width. Then I cut different pieces of patterned papers in the same width like the small pictures. I used the wonderful Krystal "Floral & Spots", the "Swiss Dot & Plus" and the "Tuxedo Stripes & Wood" papers. Then I glued the two upright strips in the middle of my FJ essentials white Cardstock with my pictures and the paper rectangles. The big picture I added on the bottom over the complete width. For one picture I used 3 D Dots to add more dimension and glued it a little bit overlapping over the big picture.
I fussy cut four of the wonderful moon flowers in pink from the "Floral & Spots" paper and added them under and over some pictures and paper rectangles. I used the packaging from the die cuts and glued it under the rectangles on the left side. Then I added the title with the wonderful black Krystal Puffy Alphabet on this side too. I knotted some thread on the green gingham charm and made a bow on it. I glued it on the right picture on the top. I also added a pinkish mini wide paper clip on the picture with the 3 D effect. I added the Jenny Word Sticker "Awesome" on the black Krystal die cut label and glued it under the picture of the Dolby Theatre.
I added the "love" and the "This is the life" Krystal stamps on my layout. Then I decorated the layout with the cute bird and the "This is me" letters from the Chipboard Bits. I glued two of the wonderful die cut houses on the border of my big picture. I splattered black ink on the left side on the bottom and on the right side of the top and added some pink and green Tori Flexible Epoxy Dots here and there. I also used the cute Krystal wood veneers and added some of the flowers and hearts on my page. At the end I’ve used the FJ roller date stamp to add the date on the rectangle with the pink floral pattern.
I hope you like my sketch version! I cant wait to see all your amazing sketch interpretations.
xx Ulli
