Hey friends! Hope your new year is off to a good start. I'm happy to be here today to share my first Listers Gotta List planner spread of 2017. I used this month's Felicity Jane Sophie kit and the colors and patterns are both beautiful and perfect for starting out the new year in a bright, cheerful way.
The first thing I did to put together the spread above is to gather my supplies and print out some of the January Listers Gotta List prompts that I thought I would like to use. The Sophie patterned paper with cut-apart journal cards was my starting point (the 3x4 cards fit perfectly in the daily spaces of my planner) and then I built the page around the cards. I added a few prompts to the cards that had space for journaling and then used some embellishments to put final touches on my pages. As you can see below, I usually select mostly "flat" elements for this project because as the year goes on, my planner can get really full and difficult to close so I select items that will minimize bulkiness.
Here's a closer look at the left side. The puffy stickers in this month's kit are so cute and provide the slightest bit of dimension without being too bulky. Plus, they're a nice pop of color throughout the spread.
And here's a peek at the right side. I used one of the washi tape strips to decorate the lined journaling card. I also used several labels and decorative elements from the subscriber printable and the 12x12 cut-apart sheet. So many versatile designs were included this month and they can all be used in a variety of different projects.
I love looking back at these spreads later in the year. It's fun to see my lists and what I was thinking and/or doing at different points throughout the year. Do any of you participate in the monthly Listers Gotta List challenges? If so, please let me know so I can check out your lists!
