Hey FJ friends!
Anna here with you again with a new layout featuring the wonderful Coco kit. I’m so in love with this black and white plaid paper, so I needed to use it in a layout. Last month, we did a family photo shoot for Christmas, and this picture stole my heart. It’s so lovely.
First, I cut the plaid paper diagonally and placed it on top of white cardstock. Then, I decided that the whole design would be centered in the middle of the page, with three clusters of embellishments creating a visual triangle.
In the upper left corner, I put the doily that came with the kit behind the photo. On top of it, overlapping the photo, I stacked the floral die cut from the die cut shapes, using foam squares. Also, from the die cut shapes, I glued these three black outlined stars.
On the other side, I placed a light pink label behind the photo, and another die cut where I stamped the word “loving” from the Katherine stamp set because the word fitted perfectly in the spot. Then, I fussy cut more flowers from the Flowers & Dotty Stripes papers. I placed them in the lower right corner of the photo with foam squares to finish my triangle.
For my title, I used a Felicity Jane cut file. You could find it in the Silhouette Design Store. I cut it three times from black cardstock and glued them together to make it thicker. I wanted to add a touch of gold, so I scattered some gold chipboard stars across the page.
Finally, I used the Coco Stamp Set to stamp a couple of phrases. I stamped “home for the holidays” directly onto the page. And beside it, I stamped the word “memories” on white cardstock and cut it out. Then, I used foam squares to place it below my title.
I adore simple pages like this, and I hope it gives you some inspiration. I wish you a wonderful Christmas in this weird year. Let’s enjoy the simple pleasures.
See you soon!
