Joy TN Spread | Mandy Melville

Hi FJ friends! I’m excited to be here with you today sharing my first FJ project for the year! I’m still creating with the gorgeous ‘Joy’ kit while I’m waiting for my ‘Reagan’ kit arrive here in Australia, and I’m still loving this kit so much! I created a traveler’s notebook spread featuring a photo of my beautiful daughter Abigail, taken on Christmas day!

I covered the left hand side of the spread with the gorgeous black and white floral patterned paper. I then matted my photo with one of the solid color papers from the kit, and adhered it to that page. I like how the red border around the photo helps it to really stand out from the background. To finish off the left hand page, I added a die cut and an embroidered star on the bottom left hand corner of the photo.

On the opposite side of the spread, I adhered a strip of the red dotted patterned paper and a die cut border down the right hand edge of the page. Adding the red patterned paper to this side of the spread helps to balance out the red on the left hand page.

I also adhered one of the designer tags to this page, which I used to add my title to. I created the title using the lovely wood veneer numbers from the kit combined with the foam alphabet stickers. I’m totally loving those alphabet stickers! I finished the page off with some die cut and wood veneer stars, as well as a few word stickers.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed documenting your Christmas/December memories with the ‘Joy’ kit as much as I have! If you’d still like to purchase this kit, or any of the add-ons, they’re available in the Felicity Jane shop until sold out, so don’t wait!

I’ll be back later in the month to share a project using the beautiful Reagan kit. Until then, happy crafting!
