Hi everyone!
Hooray! It's time for a new sketch challenge! We absolutely loved seeing what you created with the June Sketch and hope you enjoy this one too. Here's the design I've come up with for July...
This one is designed for two smaller portrait style photos or one bigger landscape photo...or mix it up to suit you! This is the layout I created with the sketch...
For my version of this month’s sketch, I decided on the Grid paper from the lovely Ginny Kit for the border, and the blue paper from the Ginny 6 x 6 Paper Pack for behind the photos. I really wanted my page to have a light airy feel since I was documenting our breakfast by the beach. I cut my white cardstock background in half and zig zag stitched them back together down the middle, then stitched a border to create some subtle texture.
I layered a Mari Chipboard Heart and a Millie Puffy Heart at the top of the page, then added the circular “the good life” stamp from the Ginny Stamp Set underneath. I backed my journaling with some of the yellow paper from the Ginny 6 x 6 Paper Pack and added it with some stitching. The photos were adhered to the blue paper, then I attached the whole piece to the page with some rainbow stripe washi. I stamped the phrase “here & now” onto white cardstock and cut it out before adhering it above the photos, then I added the words “breakfast by the beach” along the top of the photos using the Ginny Puffy Alphabet Stickers. I also added some stitching to the washi and messy stitching to the photos. To finish off the page I added a June Kit floral die cut at the bottom of the photos and a date stamped Ginny Kit label at the bottom of the page before adding a little more stitching.

I can't wait to share these next new layouts with you that some of our creative team have come up with...all so beautiful and so different! First up we have a gorgeous layout by team member Jana Bennett...
Hello everyone,
Of course I couldn't miss a chance to create a layout for our FJ sketch challenge! I think this sketch is brilliant for TN layouts as well but I went for a 6x8 size this time. I used only one photo, the other "photo frame" is filled by a journaling card. I love the letter fonts from the Ginny kit! So bold and retro!
As for the title, I went for big letters. There is no journaling because this layout is going to be the introduction page of our Riga album. The rest of the layout is pretty simple. I like it when things are simple and you don't have to spend much time documenting memories (but sometimes it is good fun to play, right).
I can't wait to see what the other team ladies come up with and what you create with the sketch!
Until next time

Now let's take a look at the fabulous page that team member Kerstin Scheidler has created...
As soon as I saw the striped paper I knew - this is the paper I'm using for Sheree's sketch!
I left a width of 1 inch in the middle and cut the colored stripes on the right and left with my scissors. I carefully removed the white pieces in between. Then I bent the colored strips back and attached them in the middle with double sided tape. So little by little I carefully removed strips with my scissors that were too much.
After that I left a strip about 3 inches wide in the middle from the Solid pink paper and marked 3/4 inch wide strips on the right and left and cut the other parts with my scissors.
I then placed Julia Chipboard Buttons on the wider strips and used various bits & pieces of June, Millie and Ginny to decorate the strips. I made the title with the great Mari Chipboard Alphabet.
I am in the vacation mood - but we will be staying home this year due to Covid. So I'm living out my vacation feeling in my layouts.
I hope you have fun with this great sketch and I'm looking forward to your realizations!
Kerstin xx

Team member Ulrike Dold has also created a gorgeous layout inspired by the sketch...
Ulli here with the wonderful July sketch challenge. I always love the sketches and Sheree made another gorgeous sketch which was so much fun to work with. I used the wonderful new Ginny Summer collection and made a 12x12 layout with it.
First I cut white Essentials Cardstock to 10.5 x 10.5 inches. Then I cut a frame from the Ginny paper "Daisies & Dots" of 2 inches in size. I glued the white cardstock on this frame and used my fingers to tear the paper border a little bit. I cut a piece of paper from the Ginny "Wildflower & Honeycomb" paper to 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 inches. I cut it from the bottom of this paper to have the paper strip with the yellow stars on it too. I glued my two pictures on it and added it on my 12x12 page. I added the mint tag from the Ginny Die Cuts under the right picture. Then I used the cute Ginny stamp set and more Ginny Die Cuts to decorate the page.
For the title I used the cute puffy alphabet in white and the die cut word "Fun". I added this die cut with 3D dots on the bottom of my pictures to add some dimension. Then I added the numbers 1 and 2 on my pictures. On the top of my layout I stamped the "Making The Most Of This Moment" stamp central and added under it the cute melon die cut with 3D dots. Then I added the cute Daisy die cuts and three banners with 3D dots around my pictures too. I also added the chapter six June Die Cut there for the month the picture was taken.
I added the yellow label under the title and added there the other melon die cut. I added the Ginny Stamp "Happiness" under it. I wrote my journaling under the big melon on the top. At the end I splattered black ink across my page and used the epoxy dots and chipboard dots from the June Bits & Pieces“ here and there. I hope you like my layout and you feel inspired.
xx Ulli
