"June 2022" My Memories Notebook Spread | Sheree Forcier

Hi FJ Friends!

Today I have a new My Memories Notebook spread to share with you featuring the lovely Kolly Kit! I’m creating a two-page spread in my notebook for each month of the year and this time I’ve documented June.

I started by choosing eight pretty journaling cards from the Kolly Kit and arranged them on my desk, then set about picking out my photos. Once that was done I printed out my journaling onto white cardstock and vellum then got into the fun part…embellishing!

At the top of the first page I always like to start with a title card. I knew straight away that I wanted to use the gorgeous rainbow card…I love it! I decided to add some hand-stitching to add some nice texture to the card so I used a paper piercer to create stitching holes along each of the rainbow arches, chose embroidery threads from my stash to match the colours, then stitched around each one. I really love how it turned out!

To complete this card I used the circular die cut, added the month of “June” using the Kolly Puffy Alphabet Stickers, then stamped the year with the Aspen Stamp Set onto white cardstock to tuck underneath. I stitched across the stamped piece then finished this card with a felt daisy and leaf.

Next to the title card is the journaling card that has the pink and white sections with the scalloped edge. I cropped this photo to a square before printing so it would fit nicely in the pink section and added a miniwide paper clip to the top left. My printed journaling was adhered into the white section before stitching down each edge.

At the bottom left of this page is the beautiful floral card. I printed this journaling onto vellum and attached it to the card with stitching across the top. I love that you can still see the lines and flowers though the vellum. I also added a small die cut heart to the top.

Next to this is a pocket I created with the light green gingham card as the base. I simply cut a piece of vellum to fit the bottom half of the card, punched a half circle in the top edge and stitched around the edge. This allowed me to tuck three photos inside from that particular day. To finish the pocket I added a die cut label and a chipboard word from the Emma Kit.

At the top left of the second page, I’ve used the green grid “chapter 8” card as the base, then cut my printed journaling to a tag shape. I added the scallop edge from the solid green cardstock across the bottom of the tag, then punched a reinforcer piece using the same paper. I stitched around the edge of the tag and added twine before attaching it to the grid background.

To the right of this is a sweet photo of our guinea pig. I backed the photo with the blush pink polkadot card and stitched a border around the edge. I then added another Emma Word Confetti piece to the bottom of the photo along with a felt daisy with leaves.

At the bottom left is another photo. This one is backed by the light pink diagonal gingham card which also had a border stitched around the edge. Just like the previous card, I simply added an Emma Word Confetti piece and another felt daisy.

To the right is the accompanying journaling. I tore the bottom edge of this printed journaling to add some texture and secured it to the colourful, striped journaling card by stitching across the top. To finish off I adhered a Reese Chipboard Heart to the top.

I absolutely love the colours in this pretty kit with the greens, pinks and marigold! They worked so well with my photos and I’m so happy with how this spread turned out.
