I’m sharing something a little different for me today. I just adore the little Heidi doll in the Heidi die cut shapes this month and I wanted a way to incorporate it into a layout. I decided to create a layout about me and add a little scene with some hand cut houses and the Heidi girl. I began my layout with the yellow solid paper for the Heidi kit then used some white cardstock from my stash to create a street to add my homes onto. I then stitched around the curve of the white cardstock with my sewing machine with a zig zag stitch.
I used one of the Designer Pockets and also two of the 3x4 journaling cards to create my sweet little houses. I trimmed the journaling cards to size then used scraps from patterned papers from the Heidi kit to create a roof for each house. I then used a scallop punch and the spotty pattern paper from last months kit to create a little scallop accent on the houses. I further embellished them with pieces from the die cut pack.
I layered my houses, girl and photo along the curve of the white cardstock, overlapping to create depth and dimension. I then added my title using the yellow letters and then accented the white cardstock with stamping from the Heidi stamp set.
I adore the soft layers that are created by the homes and the Heidi girl. I think this is such a sweet way to embellish a layout and I will definitely be trying this idea again. It is the perfect way to achieve a feminine touch to any project.

Love those houses!!! So creative?
Such a pretty and soft layout! The houses are so cute! We scrapbookers really don’t make layouts about ourselves often enough, right?
