Hi everyone! I’m excited to be here on the blog today sharing my first project using the stunning ‘Reagan’ kit! I adore the beautiful colours in this kit, and of course those florals!! As soon I opened up my kit, I knew that I wanted to use it to document a photo of our new little kitten Archie, because I knew that the colours would be perfect! Here’s the layout that I created…
I used one of the solid color papers in the kit as the background for my layout, and the first thing I did was add some white gesso to the middle of the page. This provided a nice base for where I wanted to add my photo. I also added a strip of the black and white striped patterned paper across the bottom of the layout.
I added some delicate layers behind my photo using a doily, a die cut frame from the kit, and a couple of the lighter coloured patterned papers. I distressed the edges of the patterned papers to give them some additional texture. Underneath the right hand side of the photo I tucked one of the 3x4 journaling cards.
On the bottom right hand corner of the photo I layered one of the beautiful floral die cuts. Then I pulled out the tiny tassels that I had left over from the Heidi kit (these are available to purchase separately also), and I dangled two of these on some twine, which I tucked up underneath the die cut. I LOVE the tiny tassels, and I think they really add a special touch to the page!
I used the ‘Joy’ foam alphabet stickers to add the title on the bottom of my photo. These are so versatile, and so cute!! Underneath my photo, I added my journaling using my typewriter. Then to finish off the layout, I added two of the sweet little gold chipboard hearts to the left of the photo.
Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! I hope that you enjoyed taking a look at my layout, and that you’ve been inspired to create with your Reagan kit also!
