Ladybug Traveler's Notebook Spread | Sheree Forcier

Hi everyone!

Today I’d like to share a traveler’s notebook spread with you that I’ve created with the lovely Mila Kit. This spread is all about Dottie the Ladybug…a little ladybug that Madi found in the garden looking unwell. She made her a little home, fed her and looked after her for a few days and then released her back into the garden looking much happier!

For the first page of my spread I chose the woodgrain patterned paper for the background then added a piece of the black check branding strip across the bottom of the page. I used a mix of stamping and alpha stamps for the title. The alphabet stamps that I used for the word ‘dottie’ are the Felicity Jane Basics Lowercase Stamp Set. I used one of the Mila stamps for the word ‘the’ then finished the title with the gorgeous Mila Leatherette Alphabet stickers. The pretty floral die cut was the perfect embellishment for this section of the page.

The photo was added beneath the title, then I used a chevron arrow stamp from the Zoey Stamp Set and gold embossing powder to create a pretty embellishment to staple onto the page. The arrow helps to draw the eye to the tiny little ladybug in the bowl.

For the second page of my spread, I printed my journaling directly onto plain white paper using my computer and added another piece of the black check branding strip across the bottom. I backed the photo with another piece of the woodgrain paper and stamped directly onto the photo using a stamp from the Zoey Kit and black Staz On ink. I curved the stamp on my clear block to fit the curve of the bowl in the photo. The stamp that I’ve embossed in gold is from the Kate stamp set. Both the Zoey and Kate stamp sets can still be found in the Felicity Jane store!

Above the journaling I stamped the word ‘today’ from the Mila stamp set, then added a little piece of the gold heart washi tape and the date to finish off.
