Hello everyone,
I hope you had an absolutely wonderful Christmas and you are excited for what the New Year brings. To make the start a good one we have this beautiful Mabel kit.
I am not going to lie, it is the very first digital kit I have ever worked with and I have to say that all my fears were pointless! Once you print the kit out you can easily work with it as usual. And the bonus? You can print out your die cuts or papers again, again and again!!!
For my inspiration today I found these winter photos from last year with some red colour popping here and there. It is such a great combination, red and snow! I also went for the older kit Millie that matches the Mabel kit perfectly!
I love the colour scheme of the Mabel kit and the journaling cards. I went for bits of mint and red for my pocket page. It has been some time since I last created a pocket page so I really enjoyed the process. I decided not to be boring and I used some flowers with my snowy photo...becuase why not?! The label stickers is truly a must have!
The heart line on this card is done by a stamp set and the red tag is from the Millie die cuts. Sometimes when the photos don't fit my colour intentions I print them black and white.
When doing pocket pages I usually think what else to add, how to decorate it but I always end up with a very simple version. That is why I love pockets so much because they are meant to be about the photos and documenting the story.
Do you also keep your pocket pages simple? Or do you tend to play a bit more with the embellishments and decoration? Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely week!
