Hi you lovely bunch!
I’m back again with another project for you. This week, I’m creating my first 12x12 layout in I-don’t-know-how-long. I got a bit intimated for no real reason – let’s get into it - haha
The gorgeous Amanda kit is on her way to me, but in the meantime, I’m still very much obsessed with Katherine and all her Summery goodness. I mean, what’s not to love about that scrummy colour-combo.
For my 12x12 layout, I decided that I wanted to have two separate bundles of busy. I didn’t want to add my usual paint splatters to this spread so it would remain very fresh and clean. As I was getting a bit antsy about all the whiteness of the cardstock, I decided to just embrace it :-)
I found a super cute tiny doily in my stash and layered that cuteness up with one of the gorgeous vellum frames and some of the word die cuts to create my title cluster. I wanted to add some journaling so decided to create a little pocket out of white cardstock, then stuck my title cluster on the top – that way my journaling was still there (hidden on a journal card), but didn’t mess with the clean aesthetic – clever girl ;-)
I used lots of paper scraps and cut-offs from the paper preview sheet – I tucked those behind the photo of my cat Clem along with some trimmed journal cards. Hey-presto, I had my photo cluster with lots of paper layers.
I punched out a bunch of tiny tabs to layer behind my photo and added a die cut with the date stamp along with some stickers and a button to add some more BUSY!
Once my two clusters were glued down, I added a few more layered die cuts, just to finish off the layout along with a little paper tear on the right-hand side of the 12x12 with a tiny piece of stripe paper poking through – sweet.
