Hi everyone!
I'm so happy to be back on the blog today to share my first layout using the gorgeous Summer Kit! The colours in this kit are just so fresh and pretty...and even though it's summer themed it really is so versatile. This layout is about my daughter's new love for baking!
I chose three papers to use for this design. The red grid reminded me of being in the kitchen and was a fun contrast against the blue stripe, black polka dot and white cardstock.
I created a cluster at the top left corner of the first photo using die cuts and a plain white tag to help draw the eye then continued the design diagonally down the page.
I wrapped my title around the bottom corner of the second photo using the puffy grid alphas then added the chipboard piece to separate the words and to add another black element to the page.
I added some strip journaling and machine stitching, then some stars and a die cut label with the date for more little pops of colour.
Some phrase and corner stamps from the Summer Stamp Set along with some paint splatters were the finishing touches on my page.
Thank you for joining me here today! I hope you've enjoyed seeing how I put this page together. I can't wait to share my next project with you too!
