Love Her Layout using the Lindsey Collection | Lorilei MurphyMar 02, 2019
Hello Felicity Jane friends! I am so happy to share a layout I made using the Lindsey collection! The pack of wood veneer hearts inspired my layout today!
I started the layout with a heart wreath cut file and a white background. I knew instanstly that I needed loads of little blooms to decorate the wreath. I stamped the sweet little floral with grey and black ink and fussy cut all the flowers. For my title and extra embellishment, I turned to the Lindsey stamp set and the Lindsey Die Set. I die cut the script love six times and stacked them up for a thick embellishment. I die cut the Love letters from kraft cardstock to coordinate with my wood veneer.
I layered the script love over the photo and added the good stuff circle from the die cut pack, I love the sentiments that Jeana adds to the die cut shapes. They always seem to say just the right thing!
On the opposite side of the wreath, I added the kraft love letters and continued building a cluster with all the flowers and wood veneer hearts. The Love Her stamp spoke to me, and I stamped it messily to add to the floral trail. I ended up cutting up a piece from my stamp cleaning paper to the photo for a nice balance. I love how you can take a tiny stamp and make a feature on a layout from it!
I boosted quite a few of the flowers with pop dots. I love the shadows and dimension this creates. Black and white layouts with a pop of color can become a little bland, in my opinion adding dimension and texture helps things pop and adds interest! Once I had the main design completed I felt it needed a little more. I tore the edges at the top and bottom of the background, in the same corners as the focal points and rolled over the edges. I added the super cute tiny black and white heart paper under the tears and then drew a sketchy pencil line all around the edge. It added the perfect finishing touch!
It always amazes me how much you can do with a Felicity Jane stamp set! The addition of a die set is genius and gives you loads more design options, especially if you are not fussy about fussy cutting :) I hope you enjoy your day, thanks for stopping by!
