Hello FJ fans,
I just can't /won't get enough of beautiful Millie! The flowers and pops of red are just so gorgeous that I decided I want them in my 2021 family album as well! I created this 9x12 pocket page and I even went outside the pockets! What a rebel! It is good to do things a bit differently sometimes, right!
Again, I had far too many photos to fit them all in one spread! So I went for adding a few tags to my spread. As I can see from all the lovely Millie projects on instagram and here on the blog, the tags are for sure a very popular kit part! If you want to add some flaps or interactive element that open, it is always better to use the page protector on the right. This way you can easily slide everything in and you don't have to cut into the page protector to make a hole for the interactive bits.
I love this beautiful simple journaling card! I made the heart a bit 3d by cutting it out and attaching it again with foam squares. The stamped title LOVE is a brilliant addition. I love that font!
I also did some fussy cutting - the beautiful roses are impossible to resist! Plus the paper with scallops! As you can see I added one of the tags here. You can either leave it outside or tuck into the pocket.
I prefer it outside for easier access.
At the bottom of the page there is another tag for adding more journaling. How cute is the puffy little heart on it! When I leave the tag outside, I feel like it all takes on a bit of a different dimension - you can touch and feel the nice texture. That is what I don't like about the pocket pages sometimes - you can't touch and feel all the different layers. But on the other hand, your projects are well protected!
This journaling card with the florals had to be included! I decided to cut into it a bit and slide the photo in. It creates a beautiful frame.
I don't do much pocket scrapbooking these days but I had so much fun putting this spread together. It is so easy with this lovely material. All I needed were a few journaling cards and pattern paper!
