Hi everyone
Danielle here, sharing my first project using the super gorgeous Bailey kit – scrumptious!
My challenge for this project was to focus my attention on my favourite item in the kit. How the heck was I meant to do that; I hear you wonder… I’m not going to lie, it was incredibly hard to make a decision. I eventually chose the die cuts – technically one item if you keep them in the packet - haha
As it’s Valentines Day and the Bailey kit is all loved up, I decided it might be fun to use a 6x8 pocket page and fill it with not only the beautiful die cuts, but some fun album covers that contain some of my favourite love songs. Whether they be happy or sad love songs is up for debate… but love is like an onion, there are many layers (thanks Shrek) so it works for me ;-)
I picked 14 die cuts, because how could I not, and went to work rearranging them in my little squares until I liked the look. I created two shaker pockets, one using some heart die cuts and the gorgeous sequins from the Bailey kit, and another using the little heart beads along with some buttons from my stash that went with the colour scheme.
Next, I grabbed a few of the Bailey papers to back my album covers on and made sure to choose papers which worked on both sides of the pockets. I picked die cuts of similar shapes and sizes so I could sandwich them in my pockets – that way the spread looked cute from both sides. I’m really pleased with how the pockets turned-out and I’m so glad I got to showcase the gorgeous die cuts in a fun way.
Happy Valentine’s Day and happy scrapping!
Danielle x

This is a great idea. I forget about the 2×2 pockets except for December Daily. But now I’ve been reminded. tx
