Hello Felicity Jane friends!
My name is Tina and I am so excited to be a guest designer today! It is such an honor to share my project created with the adorable Jenny kit, all the lovely colors and patterns of which are so inspiring. So as my family and I are currently moving from Seattle to another town I decided to make a layout about it.
I really love the black and white style you can find in all the Felicity Jane collections. So I decided to create a black and white background to a photo of my daughter and me walking in the downtown. I started my page by hand stitching the silhouette of Seattle with a black thread on a white piece of cardstock. Next I attached a piece of mustard grid pattern paper beneath.
After that I matted the photo on some pattern papers to bring in a little more color and added a tag I made with the floral paper. To add some interest, I used die cut shapes from Jenny and some previous kits here and there. To make the photo look nicely on the page I attached the paper cluster to the background so the line between white and mustard grid papers would match the line of the crosswalk on the photo.
For the title I used puffy word "love" and mixed it with some alphabet stickers from Jenny kit and a silicon charm "with all my heart" from Lindsey kit (also available in the shop).
I didn't want to leave the bottom of the page empty, so I simply ripped the paper a little bit, glued a small piece of white cardstock underneath and stapled them together. After that I added a flower die cut shape there and a mint polka dot tab under the ripped piece of paper. As a finishing touch I added word sticker “memory” to the tab.
