Hi friends!
Mandy here with you today to share my first layout using the gorgeous Lindsey collection! I literally couldn't wait to start creating into this kit when it arrived! It's such a bright and happy collection, full of gorgeous colours, pretty florals, and sweet little hearts! What's not to love right?! I decided for my first project with this kit, that I would create a layout documenting some photos that I took of my kids on Boxing Day. We bought them a slip-n-slide for Christmas, and it was such a hot day on Boxing Day, that we decided to set it up for them to cool off. They had a ball, which is evident by the huge smiles on their faces! The bright colours in the Lindsey collection, made it perfect for scrapbooking these happy photos!
I started by arranging my three photos into a photo strip, and matting them with the pinkish-red swiss dot patterned paper. I then chose a few more patterned papers from the kit and layered them behind the photos to add lots of colour and interest. I especially love that colourful striped paper! I adhered the photo strip using foam tape, which helps it to really pop off the page!
On the right hand side of the photo strip I created a little cluster of embellishments that includes a few die cuts, as well as one of the cute silicone charms from the kit.
To balance out the cluster on the right, I added another silicone charm on the left hand side of the photo strip. How gorgeous are these charms?!
To create my title, I used the Lindsey chipboard alphabet stickers as well as the brand new die set! I'm so excited that this die set was included as an add-on to the kit this month! It's something that can be used, not just with the current kit, but with all future kits as well! And it coordinates perfectly with the Lindsey stamp set! So many possibilities! I used the two scripty 'love' words, cutting the larger one on white cardstock, and the thinner one on black. I then adhered the thinner one on top of the other to create a layered word. I love how this looks! I completed my title using the chipboard alphabet stickers from the kit, which are so fun and cute!
To finish the layout off, I added some typed journaling underneath my title, and a sprinkling of hearts using the mini wood heart confetti, the sweet little die cut hearts, and a stamp from the Jeana stamp set.
Thanks so much for joining me here today! I hope that you're enjoying creating with the Lindsey kit as much as I am! I'll be back with some more inspiration using this kit later in the month.
