Hi crafty friends!
Ulli here today and I want to share my first project with the gorgeous new JEANA Kit with you. I love that this kit is dedicated to our girl boss, Jeana, and everything in this kit is so super sweet!
This week we have the theme "Tassels" at the inspiration page and so I created a layout with 8 tassels. First I wanted to use more of these Jeana Tassel Bows from the August Kit, but then I had the idea to do a layout with a embroidery frame and small little tags with some tassels on them, So I've used my little tassels from the Joy and the Heidi Kits for them - they are smaller and more delicate.
I cut a embroidery frame with my Silhouette Cameo and backed it with the Sunset & Tiles paper. I glued the paper only a little bit on the frame and only a bit on the border, because my plan was to fill the frame with some flowers later. I fussy cut many of these beautiful flowers from the Floral & Tufted paper for it. Then I filled the frame with some of them - inside and outside - and decided where I would place my black and white photo. I also glued some of these wonderful flocked white flower stickers on the frame. They are so gorgeous!
Then I cut the paper border from the Bold Stripes & Speckles Paper "Home Sweet Home" and glued it on the bottom of my layout. The photo is of our street sign and so the paper stripe was a perfect match for my layout. I glued the photo on the right side above on my frame and decorated it with more fussy cut flowers. I love the framed look of the photo now.
Then I glued some flowers on the paper strip below and the cute grey tassel bow from the Jeana Kit. It is a perfect eye catcher on the bottom of my layout.
I made three small tags with the tassels from the Joy and the Heidi Kits. I've used white yarn and a needle to thread the tassels, some sequins in white, pink and green and some of the small chipboard hearts from the Jeana Kit. I punched holes in the hearts before. Then I attached the tags with the tassels on the photo - on the top and on the left side and on the right side of the frame. On two places I pierced the frame and knotted the tags directly on the frame. The tag on the left side I glued under the flowers and no hole was necessary then.
I stamped the little circles from the Jeana stamp set in black in the background of the frame and splattered some gold and black ink across the page. Then I glued the embroidery frame on it and decorated the frame with more flowers and more flocked flower and leaf stickers.
For the journaling I used the Jeana Die Cut "Details" and wrote my text in black. I attached one of those cute little gold clips and glued it with foam pads on the frame. I love to add some dimension with them.
For the title I've used the small black foam alphabet stickers from the Joy kit and the polka dot chipboard heart. Then I stamped the date. I also used the stamps "Follow your heart", "My Favorite place" and the tiny heart from the Jeana Stamp Set to decorate my page.
To finish off my page I glued some of the Henley Epoxy Dots here and there and placed a Jeana Chipboard Heart and some of the Jeana Puffy Stickers on my layout.
