It's summertime! My favorite part about summer (aside from sleeping a little more & the kids being home all the time) is the fresh fruits and vegetables. I enjoy salads year around, but there is something so GOOD about eating raw vegetables outside in the sunshine. So today's layout is about my favorite place for enjoying meals during the summer.
I have the luxury of having my husband working from home occasionally. My favorite days are when he can join me on our patio for lunch. I wanted to include a photo in this layout of us together on our patio because he built it for us. As soon as the sun comes out we pull out the cushions for our patio furniture and head out to enjoy it!
I dug into my Felicity Jane stash and pulled from several different kits for this layout. I wanted lots of bright yellow touches for this layout to reflect the sunshine. Then I used lots of black and white bits and pieces so that the photos would really stand out.
I didn't add any journaling to this layout. I added word stickers that reflect the sentiment and I like how, together with the photos, they really tell the story.
I like how the 6x8 photo captures our bright red orange cushions, the patio my husband built and the sunshine from the day.
I hope you're enjoying your summer and finding fun ways to document it. Summer in the Pacific Northwest is always stunning and I'm documenting all the good parts!
