"Love You" Layout | Anna Blades
Hello FJ friends!
Today I want to share with you this clean & simple layout. Sometimes I like to use cut files or mixed media in my layouts, but sometimes I want to keep it as simple as possible. I love white spaces and simple designs. And for this kind of project, black and white combo is a winner combination. This time, I also added a touch of mustard yellow.
I started with white cardstock for my background. Then, I framed my photo with the yellow solid cardstock from the Taylor Paper Pack and placed it in the middle of the page, raising it with foam.
I cut two squares of 7 cm from the Floral & Gingham paper and the Plaid & Tiny Floral paper and glued them to both sides of the photo. So this way, we have a horizontal design in the middle of the page.
For writing my journaling, I used a die cut from the Taylor Die Cut Shapes. I wrote a phrase on it and also stacked a yellow bow from the Gabby Chipboard Bits. It looks really cute. I placed it overlapping my photo, so I raised it with foam too.
Above the photo, I stamped the word "memories" from the Noel stamp set. And below the photo, this row of hearts from the Taylor stamp set. Also, I glued another die cut on the right side of the photo.
The title is placed at the right bottom of my layout. I used the Amanda Puffy Alphabet (which I LOVE). Below it, I put a piece of washi tape and this cute gingham border die cut, that matches one of the patterned papers. At the inner end of the washi tape, I glued a flower die cut with foam dots. Finally, I drew a frame around the page with a black sharpie pen.
And that's it! I hope that this simple design inspires you. As I always say, less is more. Thank you so much for stopping by today.
See you soon with a new project!
