Love You More | Mandy MelvilleMay 30, 2017
Hi friends! I'm back today to share another layout that I created using the lovely 'Willow' kit! I just can't get enough of the florals in this kit, so I had to feature them again on this layout!
I documented a recent photo of my hubby and I, taken when we went out for brekky for his birthday. I'm trying to remember to get more photos of the two of us together, even if it is just a selfie, because I think sometimes it can be easy to forget to do that when we are busy taking so many photos of our kids.
I adore that wood crochet lace patterned paper, and thought that it would make a soft and pretty background for my layout. I love how it looks teamed up with the beautiful coral colours in the kit!
I decided to use one of the beautiful Felicity Jane cut files that are available from the Silhouette Design Store to create the title for this layout. It was the perfect phrase for this page, and I love how it looks cut out of the coral chevron dot paper! I added small pieces of foam tape underneath the cut file to lift it up off the page and to give it some extra dimension. The shadow that this creates helps the title to stand out a little more, rather than getting lost against the background.
I literally can't stop fussy cutting the beautiful flowers on the floral patterned paper! They make the perfect embellishments, and I love how they look layered together like I've done here on the bottom left hand corner of the photo.
Here you can see some of the layers of patterned paper that I added underneath my photo. I also added a strip of the gorgeous rose gold foil washi tape! Under the right hand side of the photo I tucked another fussy cut floral, and then I popped a flair button on top.
I added another strip of the rose gold foil washi tape up in the top right hand corner of the layout, and popped another floral cluster on top which I adhered with some foam tape. Adding this in the top right hand corner helps to balance out the florals on the bottom left of the photo, and provides a diagonal flow to the layout, drawing the viewer's eye back down to the photo.
To finish the layout off, I added a few of the die cuts around the layout, and then did some stamping using the 'Willow' stamp set. I also popped a couple of the little puffy heart stickers that are in the alphabet sticker pack onto the page. Lastly I added my journaling and the date.
Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today!
