Hi everyone!
I’m back today to share a layout created with the delicious Alexis Kit. Are you loving this gorgeous kit as much as I am? The colours and patterns are just so fun to create with!
I trimmed some white cardstock down to roughly 11 x 10 inches and added some white hearts using the hearts stencil and modelling paste. I applied the hearts to two areas – behind my photo cluster area and the top left of the cardstock too. I love the subtle texture it adds to the design.
Once the hearts were dry, I backed the cardstock with the dotty yellow patterned paper and played with layering other colours and patterns behind the photo. Once I had the photo layering decided on, I tucked some strips of the same papers under the left side of the white cardstock to help balance the design, then added a stitched border with my sewing machine. I also stitched across the top of the photo.
The lovely puffy word sticker was the perfect title for this page! I adhered it sideways down the left side of the photo, added die cut hearts, a flair and a felt bow that I made using the felt ribbon from the kit. I also made another folded and stitched felt strip for the top left corner of the page and hand stitched a black and white striped button from the Autumn Kit into place.
Using black ink, I stamped the word ‘remember’ from the Alexis Stamp Set near the felt strip, then I added two other stamps from the Willow and Zoey stamp set under the photo. Finally, to finish it off, I added some black dots around the page and of course a date stamp too.
