Hello FJ fans!
Jana here with some Harper inspiration. This kit! Wow! Such good colour and soso many pretty things! As soon as I saw it I knew I would put together a page with an autumn feel and I would use photos from our autumn trip to Madrid. So much fun!
I know: we all love grid layouts, right? And there are many stunning ones on this blog. So I am adding this one to the collection. Grid composition is a really good way to get more photos on one page. And more photos on a page is the best kind of page (for me).
I decided to place my grid to the sides of the paper - in the top right hand corner and bottom left corner. Kind of a typical layout composition. I didn't want to go for a blank paper therefore I went through the Harper Paper back and guess what I found: the best paper ever for your grid composition. Seriously, if you ever think of making one as well, use the brilliant design because it is just so easy to keep the lines and photos straight and it gives the layout a beautiful background!
The size of the photos is 2x2 inch and I started piercing the paper so that they fit neatly in squares. Mind you, some squares are slightly bigger, some smaller and I can imagine the grid being nicely irregular if you used a variety of sizes of the photos or embellishments. At first I wanted to fill some squares with patterned paper but the layout is already quite busy so I kept it all very simple - embellishments, date stamp and black thread.
The title consists of two different fonts, my favourite kind of effect. I used some 3d foam squares to lift the word 'together' and the golden alphabet letters are just so precious!
Who wouldn't love all the acorns?
This time I added journaling on the bottom of the page.
Ok and now who is a big fan of grid layouts? Thank you for being here with me today and have fun creating some pretty pages with Harper!
Jana
