Hello FJ Friends!
Today we have a new sketch challenge for you! I’ve designed the sketch this month and it’s a multi-photo layout that I hope you'll enjoy working with. Let’s take a look!
Here’s how my layout turned out…
Overall, I stayed with the basic design, but swapped the positioning of the photos and journaling a little. I was excited to use the new Julia kit for this project and chose the Trellis paper as my border then decided to use it for each of my photo panels too since it was nice and neutral. I really wanted the focus to be on the photos and cute embellishments so using a neutral background helped me to do that. I repeated the basic elements for each photo panel…a photo, printed journaling, die cuts and epoxy dots and I love how they turned out! The “create” die cut was the inspiration for the theme of my layout and I paired it with the Julia Puffy Alphabet Stickers to complete the title. As always I added lots of machine stitching for texture. I’ve documented my recent crafty loves on this page and I’m so happy with how it turned out using this gorgeous kit!

I love seeing how the rest of the team uses the sketch too so let’s check out what Ulrike Dold has come up with.
Here’s Ulli to tell us all about her beautiful layout…
The FJ March sketch by Sheree is so wonderful and I had so much fun working with it. I’ve used the super cute and fresh Millie collection and some embellishments from previous FJ collections for my take on it. First I cut my white cardstock to 11x11 inches and cut from the mint solid cardstock from the Millie kit a big frame. I glued the piece of white cardstock on this frame and pierced holes around the white cardstock on the border. Then I used a thin yarn in dark blue and stitched this thin navy border around the white cardstock by hand.
I cut three rectangles from the following Millie papers: Pin Stripe & Chevron, Florals & Stars and Plaid & Tiny Hearts and layered my pictures on them. Then I used three of the super cute Hope buttons and stitched them by hand on the top of my pictures. I used a metal die to make three little paper pieces from the Millie Scallops & Stars paper which are looking like little accordions after you fold them. I wanted to get a look like little roller aprons on my pictures and so I glued them on the bottom of each picture.
I added my title under my pictures and used the Jenny Puffy Title "Happy", the Amanda Puffy Alphabet in black and the Essentials Puffy Alphabet with Tiny Dots. I stamped the date with the FJ roller date stamp on one of the Millie label stickers and added it under the title with 3 D dots to add some dimension. Then I added little heart stamps with the Millie stamp set around my title and filled this part of the layout with Tori Epoxy dots and Millie Puffy Heart Stickers. At the end I added two of the Millie die cut stars and a little label from the XOXO Paper Pack on my page. I also added the place where the pictures were taken on the right picture and used the cute little Gabby Alphabet for it.
I cant wait what you will create with this pretty sketch.
xx Ulli

Tiffany Julia has also created a sweet project using the sketch...
Hey everyone! I had so much fun shrinking down Sheree's lovely sketch to create this 6x8 layout for my 2021 album. I actually cut my white cardstock base to the size of the Felicity Jane pocket pages, which are just a tad bigger than true 6x8. This just gives me room to punch my holes, so that I can fit it into my Note to Self binder.
I used a mixture of kits on this one, with papers from the XOXO 6x8 Paper Pack, Krystal and Gabby kits. I began by cutting down three of the pattern papers to long rectangles and spacing them out on my page. I then added a few of the essential labels to two of them, before running the page through my sewing machine to add a stitched border around each of them. Once I had my base, I began creating the little flower clusters and my main photo cluster.
I only used one photo for this layout, which I've matted onto some white cardstock. I added the Millie die cut on one side of it, with one of the felt hearts overlapping them both. I added a black tab from the XOXO cut apart paper to the top so that it sticks out from behind my photo. Another one of those essential labels is layered at the bottom of the photo cluster, with a few heart pieces, for a little bit of journaling. For my title, I used a combination of alphas to write out "a quiet place." I also added "home" to the layered labels on top.
I'm really pleased at how this layout turned out! It's really incredibly fun to play with these monthly sketches and make something inspired by them that fits your chosen format for documenting!
xxx Tiffany

We also have a beautiful layout from Jana Bennett inspired by the sketch...
Hello FJ fans,
I really hope you will give this sketch a try! It offers such versatility and you can create a very simple but effective layout with it! I went for a clean and simple style and enjoyed having fun with the stamp set! Since I worked with a smaller format (6x8) I needed to make it clean. Therefore I started with the photos and added just a few embellishments. Actually I started with the title first. As soon as I saw the die cuts I knew I would like to use the CREATE title. I love how colourful it is! And the font is just perfect! Then I remembered this set of photos from last October. I also decided to do some stamping. The dots in the lines is from the Jaimee stamp set. At first I wanted to use it for journaling but after stamping I liked it as it is so I left it empty and did the journaling somewhere else. Oh and that title needed some stitching, right! I love it when the titles are stitched over! It would be wonderful if you join in the fun and use this sketch for your future layout!
