Hello FJ Friends!
Sheree here and today I'm excited to share our new March Sketch Challenge with you and we hope you'll join us in the creative fun! Let's take a look at the design I came up with for this month...
Here is the layout I put together following the sketch featuring the beautiful Margot Kit...
For this sketch design I thought it would be fun to create a grid on an angle and the 6 x 6 Cut Apart Sheets in the Margot Kit were absolutely perfect for this! I cut out a selection of the squares and arranged them in the diagonal grid following the sketch design. Then I set about adding photos, stitching and embellishments to each square. My photos were printed to roughly 1.5 inches square. For the title I used the super fun Margot Chipboard Alphabet Stickers and I created a border for the layout using the Margot Gingham and Scallops papers.

As always, the creative team have been busy coming up with some gorgeous inspiration for us using the sketch as their starting point. One of my favourite things about this challenge each month is seeing how different each project turns out!
First up we have Karlla Dauer to share her pretty page with us...
How not to be inspired by this beautiful sketch? For this layout, I wanted to bring a delicate style that Margot conveys.
I used the Paper Pack label to create two large squares for this project. I love using them in my layouts.
In addition to all the details, the Chipboard Alphabet Stickers gave a beautiful detail and highlight to the project.

Kerstin Scheidler is also here to share her gorgeous take on the sketch...
Hello everyone! Kerstin here sharing my take on this month’s challenge. Sheree has come up with another amazing sketch!
I definitely had to use the super awesome Margot 6 x 6 Cut Apart Sheets for this sketch. They fit the sketch perfectly - don't they? Additionally, I added the cute Margot Die Cut Shapes and a few of the June Puffy Shapes. Also, the Bella Vellum Hearts and Aspen Die Cut Shapes fit in perfectly. Oh - enough swooning about the gorgeous - always coordinating with each other - products!
I made the title for my layout from the colorful Margot Chipboard Alphabet Stickers. I arranged the most varied embellishments on the Cut Apart Sheets. I cut out the ovals from a Margot journaling card and adhered them to the top right, along with the cute smiley face with 3D Foam. On the bottom left I also cut out the heart from a journaling card and decorated it with the great June Puffy Shapes. The photo of my son playing soccer - his favorite sport! - I cut it out in his silhouette. I liked how the layout turned out and I hope you feel inspired!
Kerstin xx

Jana Bennett has also created a beautiful layout using the sketch as inspiration...
Hi everyone,
No way I could miss Sheree's sketch challenge! So many photos I could use. Still, I am a person of photos being straight so I had to twist the sketch a bit. I had quite a number of pictures from our recent event that went so well with the big chipboard alphabet. I tell you I wanted to use those alphabet stickers so much! And now let me tell you what MASOPUST is (A Czech tradition).
Masopust is like a carnival celebrated before the beginning of lent when people wear costumes, eat Czech donuts and unique pork sausages (they are so unique that not many people like them). I love how the word masopust fits my layout! To frame the white cardstock I used the pattern paper with confetti and cut out a few as well to embellish the photos. I love the soft colourfulness of the whole layout!
Thank you Sheree for such a great sketch!

Finally we have Ulrike Dold to tell us all about how she used the sketch to put together her gorgeous page...
Of course I couldn’t resist to make the wonderful March sketch created by Sheree. I would say, I’m a little bit FJ sketch addicted. ;-) First I cut out the 2x2 inch paper squares from the Margot 6x6 Cut Apart Sheets and searched for seven of them which I´ve wanted to use.
I used the blue one, from which I punched out the smiley face. I used it as a circle frame to add a small picture behind it. Then I used my scissors to cut the white heart from the red honeycomb square and also framed a picture with it. My 3rd picture had the size 2x3 inches and and cut it into 2x2 inches and 1x2 inches. The part with 1 inch length I glued with a Margot tab from the die cuts on the floral blue square.
I searched for the position of the squares and decided to not to make a big frame around the 12x12 cardstock with paper. Instead I fussy cut many roses of the Margot "Floral & Hearts" paper and clustered them into the left corner on the bottom and the right corner on the top. Then I used the wonderful Margot Vellum Numbers and added the 8 for the month of August on the left edge above and the 9 and the 21 on the right edge on the bottom for the month September and the year 2021. I glued these vellum numbers with glue dots on my page.
Then I used my typewriter and the Margot journaling card with the 5 labels in different colors and added the place where the pictures were taken on the blue label. I cut it out and also fussy cut the "Remember This" of the journaling card with the three oval shapes. I added these labels under the vellum eight. Then I used mint yarn and the super cute Margot Tulle Pom Poms in Pink, White and Mint. I added three of them with a needle on the yarn and knotted them on three mini wide paper clips in pink, white and mint. Then I added these super cute mini white paper clips with pom poms on the bottom of my three pictures.
I glued the squares into the middle between the roses and I love the playful look. At the end I added Julia Epoxy Dot Stickers and June Bits & Pieces around the big vellum numbers and a Mari butterfly in light blue beside my picture with the honeycomb heart frame. I also decorated my page with the Aspen Chipboard Bits and the Aspen Chipboard Heart Stickers in pink and green.
I hope you like my version of the March sketch and I could inspire you to make your own layout with it.
xx Ulli
