Hello FJ Friends!
Welcome to our May Sketch Challenge! The design I've come up with this month features a cluster of florals at the top, two photos and journaling across the centre and the title at the bottom. Let's take a look...
As always the sketch is a jumping off point for you to create your project. There are many ways to change up the design to make it your own and put your own spin on it. Perhaps you'd like to add four smaller photos instead of two? For the cluster at the top you could use stars, circles, hearts or a mix of elements. You could even turn the sketch upside down!
Here is the layout I came up with...
For my layout I followed the sketch quite closely. I chose the fun Reese Kit “Spots” paper for my background and for the centre piece I used the Margot Kit “Ledger” paper backed with some solid green cardstock from the same paper pack. I made sure to include the scalloped edge of the solid green cardstock at the bottom for a decorative edge and added a machine stitched border too.
I fussy-cut a whole bunch of flowers from the Abigail Kit “Floral” paper to arrange at the top of the middle section, using some foam adhesive behind some flowers to add dimension.
Across the middle of the page are my two photos with some printed journaling in between. I added an Abigail Designer Cardstock Tab at the top of the journaling piece and stitched a border.
For the title I used the Sarah Metal Die Set for the “happy” word and the Essentials Puffy Alphabet Stickers for the word “piggie”. Then to finish off I added the date on a label and a little fussy cut flower.

Hello it's me Elena! This month Sheree made an amazing layout for the challenge!
Of course I've used the Reese collection because I'm completely in love with this vintage atmosphere!
In this project I will tell you a sweet moment with my little boy Leo during a summer afternoon, to remember those precious moments that we shared.

Valeska Guimaraes has also created a beautiful page to share with us! Here she is to tell us all about it...
Hello FJ friends!
Another new sketch challenge on the blog and we are already excited to share inspirations with you! What most inspired me in this layout was the position of the photos and the journaling in the middle! I used vellum paper in the middle of my page, and in it I used the stencil with white plaster and stamped with flowers also with white ink. That way, I created a unique and original background for my photos.
For journaling, I turned one of the journaling cards into a tag, and ran a string through it. For the final touch, flowers fussy cut from floral paper, die cut shapes of heart and tab. I used a stamp from Abigail on the tab, and roller date stamp on the sticker label.
Finishing my page, I used the puffy alphabet from the Annie collection to write "My Girl", and thus record this beautiful moment we live in!
Hope you enjoy it
xx Valeska

Next we have Karlla Dauer to share her sweet project with us...
I love playing with a sketch that has a grid. They're my favorite.
I worked with the photos on the squares of the sides and left the journaling in the center with another frame.
In the center of the frame I added the phrase from Reese's Journaling Card.

Kerstin Scheidler has also created a project with this month's sketch! Let's see how she made it her own...
Kerstin here! It’s challenge time and Sheree has created an amazing sketch again AND I had a lot of fun doing this sketch! It's like this...I look at the sketch, start and somehow my project takes on a life of its own - magic!
For the background I decided to use the amazing Reese Striped Paper. Here I cut out the individual strips and glued them to white cardstock. Then I cut the cardstock with the strips glued on to the size 10 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches and taped it to a 12 x 12 white cardstock. I cut out the rainbow and the ampersand sign from a Reese journaling card and adhered them with 3D foam. I really had to use the gorgeous Reese Blooms Metal Die Set (I LOVE flowers) and punched out flowers from paper scraps and stamped the center with the Reese Stamp Set.
Under the "today is magic" saying I also cut up a Reese journaling card and glued the individual strips on and stuck the saying on top. My photo with the gorgeous "You are Magic" white t-shirt and my layout is almost ready. Well almost! I used the different Reese embellishments like Chipboard Heart Stickers and Die Cut Shapes for decorating. I also added Abigail Chipboard Stickers and Mollie Chipboard Stickers.
For my title Magic, I adhered the cute Mollie Chipboard Alphabet and the colorful Reese Puffy Alphabet Stickers. I wrote my journaling on one of the awesome Essentials Label Stickers on the right and left I punched a slot in the label and pulled the beautiful Christmas Wishes Spotted Washi Tape through as a ribbon.
I hope you like my inspiration!
Enjoy your day!
Kerstin xx

Next we have Ulrike Dold with her fabulous layout!
As always I try to find the time to do the FJ sketch every month. I love what Sheree creates and I am always so inspired. For my layout I’ve used white cardstock and cut a frame with 2.5 inch width. Then I cut the baby blue Reese "Swiss Dot & Diamond" paper to 10.75 x 10.75 inches and glued it on the white frame. I cut the rest of the white cardstock into 7 x 5 inches and glued in into the middle of my 12x12 page.
Then I’ve layered both my pictures with the Reese "Spotted & Striped" paper and glued it on my page. I fussy cut many butterflies from the Abigail "Gingham & Butterflies" paper and many flowers of the Abigail "Floral & Grid" paper. I arranged them on the top of my pictures and some on the bottom of the white smaller piece of paper. I also glued some on the borders of my pictures. I’ve added my title on the bottom and mixed the Reese and Abigail Mini Puffy Alphabets to get the perfect color combo for my pictures. Then I added the year when the pictures were taken on the right side on the top too.
I added some Reese Die Cuts and one of the Abigail Designer Tabs in green with 3D dots and added the blue and baby blue chipboard heart stickers of the Reese collection between all the butterflies and flowers on the top. I also arranged some under the title. Then I made some lines under the white paper piece and wrote my journaling by hand. At the end I splattered black ink across my page and added Julia Epoxy Dots in baby blue, green and yellow here and there.
I hope you like my sketch version and I could inspire you with this mixed kits page to create something with the sketch.
xx Ulli

Finally we have Eva Pizarro to share her wonderful layout with us!
Hello everyone! Here's my take on this month's sketch challenge. Usually, I don't change the sketch too much, but this time I knew I wanted to include a big picture of me wearing the "You are magic" t-shirt. To adapt the sketch, I rotated it and added a long picture. I wrote my title with that big essential alphabet on the right. I love that it is big but thin! Finally, I added a few embellishments on the left side of my layout. I also added a small tag underneath the photo to add my journaling. I hope you join in this month's challenge!
