May Listers Gotta List Spread | Anita Patel

Hello! Anita here and today I'm sharing a new Listers Gotta List spread using the brand new Willow kit!  The addition of pre-cut journaling cards and die-cuts to our kits in recent months has made completing this type of project (and other planner projects) easy and fun. Here's an overall look at this month's spread:

I chose my favorite journaling cards this month and laid them across my planner. I try to balance colors, words and graphics on the spread and then add my Listers prompts on the cards where there is space to write. I then began embellishing using some die-cuts since they are flat and perfect for planner projects. I also created a couple of embellishment clusters to add some interest to the page and provide "anchors" on the two sides of the spread.

Below is a close-up of the cluster I created on the left side of the page. I used one of the journaling cards with that pretty doily-like design and cut it out to create my own custom die-cut. I then added some pieces from the die-cut pack and layered them on top of one another to create a fun cluster. I also used a couple of the scalloped border strips in the top left corner to add some color and design to that section of the page.

On the right side, I followed a similar approach but this time placed a small cluster on the bottom right side. I also added a black die-cut to help balance out the black on the other side of the spread.

And there you have it! A fun, quick project that you can complete relatively quickly. If you don't have a lot of free time but still want to do something creative, you should definitely give the Listers Gotta List challenge a try! I've been doing this project for a couple of years now and it's still one of my favorites. It's a fun way to get creative, use your supplies, record some journaling and have fun!  If you have any questions about getting started, let me know by leaving a comment on this post. I'm happy to help!
