Meet The Creative Team
Are you ready to meet two more crafty ladies of the Felicity Jane design team?
Up first today is Nancy Damiano:
Q | What is your least favorite household chore?
A | Ironing for sure. But I'm a freak about wrinkles, so I iron every day.
Q | What's your guilty pleasure?
A |Getting my hair colored at a fancy salon every few weeks. I don’t feel guilty about it, but it's definitely an indulgence!
Q | Favorite scrapbook/planner/crafty embellishment or product?
A | Patterned paper, because I love color.
Q | What do you Netflix/binge watch?
A | Currently - Downtown Abby (again), Reign, and Jane the Virgin.
Q | What about you might surprise us?
A | I've never attended a live music concert. I find it really boring to watch someone sing. I can ‘feel’ art, but I think I’m definitely missing some music genes!
Q | What motivates you to create?
A | Stories and things I want to say, photos that capture the people I love just living and the tactile experience of making something.
Q | When/why did you start memory keeping?
A | I received a scrapbook kit as a gift one Christmas back when Creating Keepsakes had just started out (1997-98) and I loved it immediately. I've scrapped on and off since then. I may step out and experiment with other crafts, but I always come back to scrapbooking.
Q | What project best shows off your style?
Next up today is Elsie Robinson:
Q | What is your least favorite household chore?
A | Is everything a valid answer!? But washing up dishes is particularly awful, and so is anything that involves a vacuum...
Q | What's your guilty pleasure?
A | Nutella. But also buying notebooks/journals. I will be the first to admit that I own far too many, but they're all so beautiful!
Q | Favorite scrapbook/planner/crafty embellishment or product?
A | Papers are my absolute favourite, they're always so beautiful and inspiring. I especially love challenging myself to find new and fun ways I can use patterned papers on layouts. Puffy stickers are a close second though. Oh, and also a needle and embroidery thread. It's impossible to choose just one product, oops!
Q | What do you Netflix/binge watch?
A | Everything. If there were ever an Olympic event for watching Netflix, I would probably win a medal. I’ve recently watched Gilmore Girls for the first time; the amount of coffee they drink really speaks to me!
Q | What about you might surprise us?
A | Within the next few years I would really like to have the opportunity to travel and teach filmmaking to children abroad, through a Filmmakers Without Borders programme.
Q | What motivates you to create?
A | I honestly have too many ideas to not keep creating, which is a rather lovely problem to have! I have always needed to be making something, and scrapbooking is the perfect outlet for me to really push myself creatively.
Q | When/why did you start memory keeping?
A | Just last year! I started making a Project Life album because I wanted a physical album to store my photos, instead of having them stuck on a computer. Then after watching some 12x12” layout process videos on YouTube, I decided to give that a go! I think I’m now officially stuck down the 12x12 layout rabbit hole, and I have no plans to ever get out!
Q | What project best shows off your style?
Stop by again tomorrow to meet two more talented ladies!
