Megan and Mixed Media Layout | Lorilei MurphyJun 03, 2019
Hello Felicity Jane friends! Lorilei here sharing a layout I made with the Megan kit! I got carried away with this layout and added heaps of layers and paint!
I started with a plain white paper base and first added a puddle of pink spray mist and smooshed it around with some plastic packaging. Once the pink paint was dry, I realized that the spot for my photo would be only slightly off center and it looked a bit odd, so I got out my black gesso and a scraper tool and added some black so that I could put my photo cluster in a better spot!
To finish up the background, I added some pink splatters and some black paint splatters. Next, I started on my layering for my photo. I made two pocket "packs" using the Megan kit papers and journal cards. I cut some white paper into tag shapes and used my Felicity Jane Essentials stamps for titles on the tags.
I added some old book paper, a doily and some black and white florals I had fussy cut into my stack for extra dimension. I found a ripped piece of the polka dot paper you can see on the right side at the bottom of the stack, and it was the perfect last addition! To add detail on top of the photo, I layered a Megan Vellum polka dot banner and a Megan Paper Bow on top. I love the detail it adds to the whole photo cluster stack!
For final touches, I went to the Megan Puffy Stickers! You get loads of puffy heart dots, and I sprinkled three black heart dots around the page. I also added the star branding strip to the bottom of my layout for the perfect black and white touch!
The Megan collection is one of my favorites! So many unique items like the tiny tags and vellum die cuts. The colors are fresh and lovely, and I have loved every page made with it!
