Hi FJ friends!
Are you ready for some inspiration from me for your 6 x 8 album? I'm going to show you how to put your memories in a flip page today! Yes...you read that right. We are making a flip page with the wonderful new ANNIE collection! Let's get started!
I chose the solid cardstock in mint as the base for the frame and trimmed it to 6" w x 8 1/4" h. Then I marked a 1" border all around and cut out the inside of the cardstock with my craft knife.
For the flip side I chose the awesome Stripes paper and cut it to 4 3/4" w x 8 1/4 h. I marked 1" on the top, bottom and right side of each. Now it gets a little tricky!
There is a small square left at the top and bottom right that we will crease later. The middle part is carefully cut out with a craft knife.
Above and below we cut from left to right to the half! BUT take half without the two small squares!!! Absolutely only up to the half, because that is our flip!
Now we stick double-sided tape on the two small squares and the "cut half". The double-sided tape goes on the striped side.
Now we turn the frame to the left side and put our "side" also on the left side in the frame. We now glue the "half" onto our frame. On the right side we still see the "1" of the frame.
We now need one more base side. For this I chose the cute Daisies paper. I cut the paper to the size 6 1/2" w x 8 1/4" h. We place the frame with flip side on our base side so the frame is flush on the right. Now we peel the sheet of double-sided tape off the two small squares and adhere our flip side. Tada ... Done!
The flip side can now be flipped out to the right.
The most beautiful part comes now...decorate!
I have to add, I really wanted something embroidered on the back of the striped paper. For this I have with thread and the sweet Annie Sequins something embroidered on acetate and sewn before gluing with my sewing machine.
For the title I made the words Together, Adventure and Sunshine from the colorful Confetti Puffy Alphabet Stickers.
On the base card, I scrapbooked my photo with an Annie Journaling Card and Annie Die Cut Shapes.
My second page in the 6 x 8 album is a large photo of our hiking trip. I stamped on acetate with the great letters from the Annie Stamp Set and layered it over my photo. I also used some embellishments here.
I hope you like the idea and find it inspiring!
Thanks for stopping by 💕
See you next time!
