Hello FJ friends,
It's Tina here! I hope all of you who are still waiting for their kits to arrive will soon get them and will start playing with all this gorgeousness! And today I want to share with you a few mini cards I created with the Katherine collection and inspired by the beautiful sentiments of the Hope stamp set.
All of my three mini cards are sized to 3.5"x4.5". And I started by making the card bases with the FJ plain white cardstock.
For the first card I used the greeting 3x4 card that you usually receive with the kit. Or you can use a similar floral journaling card from the kit and add a sentiment by yourself using stamps or alpha stickers. To add some dimension I stitched the edge of the 3x4 card and also added a few french knots using yellow embroidery thread here and there in the center of the flowers. Then I backed the 3x4 card with a piece of red and white striped paper and adhered it to the card base.
For the second card I trimmed the floral pattern paper to the size of the card base and stitched it around the edge. After that I stamped the sentiment from the Hope stamp set with an olive green ink and made it into a tag using the Shay tag builder. To make the two cards match a little bit I made the top of the tag with the same red and white striped paper.
For the last card I really wanted to use the vellum frames from the kit as I like them a lot! So I adhered the grid one to the card base and cut out the center of the frame to create a small window. Inside that window I stamped another beautiful sentiment from the Hope stamp set. And in the end I simply added two floral die cut shapes with a few french knots embroidered on the flowers.
Thank you so much for joining me today! Until next time!

What a fabulous idea using pocket life cards for mini cards ā now I have an idea of what to use them all on.
These are so lovely and Iām sure the recipients will be delighted with them. :)
