Hi FJ friends,
Ulli here today with you with a monochromatic layout in green and blue with different FJ collections. When I saw the green gingham journaling card and the card with the blue & green stripes from the wonderful Grace collection, I had the idea to make a monochromatic layout in blue and green and of course with black and white. I wanted to use two pictures from our little son and so this color combination was perfect. I looked for papers and embellishments in my Grace collection and found some other papers in these colors from the previous Lola collection.
First I cut a big paper strip from the Lola Dots & Flowers paper and a small one from the Lola Gingham & Hearts paper and glued both on the bottom of my 12x12 Essentials White Cardstock. Then I decided to use the wonderful Shay Tag Builder Metal Die to shape the Grace journaling cards and my pictures. To make the tags more interesting I used the tag metal die for my black and white pictures inverted. Then I glued the journaling cards and the pictures in turn besides each other.
I fussy cut many labels in green and mint from the fantastic Grace Hearts & Labels paper and glued them under the smaller paper strip on the bottom of my page. I glued them in different heights to make the look a little bit more playful. Then I used my sewing machine and white thread and stitched over the border of the blue gingham and the green polka dot papers.
I glued the title on the gingham tag on the top and used the Lola Die Cut Shape "Beautiful" and the adorable Mint Puffy Alphabet from the Grace collection and added the word "day" with them. I also added two of the sweet Grace Designer Cardstock Tabs on my pictures and decorated the upper part of the layout with Grace Die Cut Shapes, Bailey Die Cut Shapes, Shay Puffy Word Sticker, Denise Puffy Sticker and some Lola Chipboard pieces. I also used the Lola Chipboard Alphabet with the tiny dots to add the age of our little son when the pictures were taken. I added the cute stamp "Work Hard" from the Grace collection under the tag on the left side. The Puffy Word Sticker from the Shay collection and the "Today" Puffy Sticker from the Denise collection matches perfectly on the Designer Tabs in black and white.
I added different labels and die cut shapes from the Alexis, Lola, Megan and Bailey collections over the label row on the bottom. I added the month April with the Jenny Word Stickers there on a Megan Tiny Tag and used also some of the Essentials Puffy Mini Alphabet Stickers to add the year number under it. I also glued a Bailey doodle Chipboard Sticker on the border from the green polka dot paper and set down the cute little bird puffy Sticker from the Grace collection.
At the end I splattered black ink across my page and finished off my page with epoxy dots from the Henley and the Sarah collections, some small puffy heart & star stickers from the Denise and the Brooke collections.
Creating this page was so much fun. Maybe I could inspire you to scrap a monochromatic page with some matching previous FJ collections too! Thank you for stopping by today.
Have a nice week!
xx, Ulli
