Hi everyone!
Ulli here with you today and I have a new mini book for you. I’ve made it with many different FJ kits and I had so much fun mixing all these wonderful papers and embellishments. I will describe for you how I made it and which kits I’ve used. Have fun!
First I cut 2 pieces of chipboard to 3.5 x 6.5 inches. Then I cut the Annie Spots & Daisies Paper to 5 x 7 inches and covered the chipboard with it. For the inside I’ve cut the Ginny Floral & Spots paper to 3 3/8 x 6 3/8 inches and glued it on the inside of the first book cover. I glued a long piece of the Essentials ribbon in pink in the 2nd cover (backside of the mini) and glued the 3 3/8 x 6 3/8 inch paper with the dots on it so I've got a closure when the book is ready. I punched with my Crop-A-Dile two holes into the covers and used the soft pink loose leaf rings to hold these covers together.
Then I made the inside of the mini. It’s a second little book inside of the mini with 3 different papers as pages. I cut the Capri paper Diagonal & Dot Grid to 11 x 3 3/8 inches and folded it at 5 and 6 inches. I glued this second little mini with the back on the back cover. Its justified at the bottom of the cover. So there is enough space on the top for the loose leaf rings to open the mini book later.
Then I cut the pages of the mini book. I used the following papers: Annie Stripes & Grid, Mari Gingham & Butterflies and Annie Gingham & Hearts. I cut all papers to 3 3/8 x 10 1/4 inches and folded them at 5 and 5 1/4 inches. I glued them with the 1/4 inch all into the striped Capri paper with a little distance to each other.
I then began to fill and to decorate the mini book. For the cover I used a pink Annie label sticker and used the word "Family“ from the June Stamp Set to stamp the first word of the title on it. For the word "Shooting" I’ve used only the light pink Confetti Puffy Alphabet. I also added the Brooke Puffy Shape (yellow star) there. I used the cute Bailey Die Cut with the colorful hearts and glued it with 3 D dots over the bow from the ribbon. Then I hung two of the cute Annie Tiny Chipboard Tags with the white twine on one of the loose leaf rings.
To decorate the mini book inside I’ve used the Emily journaling card with the pink grid and cut it smaller. Then I stamped the word "Sunday" from the Emily Stamp Set on it and the month "JUL" from the FJ Monthly Stamp Set over it. I used the Annie puffy alphabet and the Confetti alphabet to add the day and the year too. Then I decorated it with the cute Annie banner die cut and a Megan butterfly die cut. I used 3 D dots to add some dimension.
For the next page I used the Harper cardstock frame to frame my picture. I added a chipboard button from the Emily collection and two word stickers there. On the next pages I added two big pictures and I used some leftovers - fussy cut flowers from the floral Annie paper - and glued these flowers over the pictures. I decorated all with a chipboard button and two word stickers in dark blue too.
Then I added a polka dot designer tab on the page from the Mari collection on the Gingham & Butterfly page. I glued a big picture on this page. On the page above I added a circle picture and used the quote "family is 4ever". I wrote it with the Ginny Alphabet Stickers, the Annie Puffy Alphabet and the light pink Confetti letters. The pink heart die cut is from the Bailey collection. I also added a Bailey chipboard sticker to the bottom of the big picture and a Emily word sticker in pink on the designer tab.
The next page I decorated with the "Love" die cut from the Bailey collection and the Annie Sequins. I also added one of these cute Emily Chipboard Flair buttons. The second picture I’ve decorated with the Emily Cardstock Tab Stickers, Emily and Jenny Word Stickers and a the pink Annie die cut shape with the heart. The butterfly die cut is from the Megan Die Cut Shapes and matches perfectly to the Mari butterfly paper.
I really love the colorful Annie Die Cut Shapes and I’ve used the adorable floral tag to add a picture on it. I used also the photo corners and the "Summertime" stamp of the June Stamp Set. The little heart is from the Bailey die cuts. My picture on the polka heart paper I’ve decorated with a green Emily tab sticker, the cute Annie lemon die cut and some Julia epoxy dots. I also added the number 4 for the age with the Ginny alphabet stickers.
I really love the color of the Annie Gingham paper and I added the Capri die cut circle with the heart and the Megan plant die cut on my pictures. I also used a chipboard flair button and the Emily word stickers there. Then I finished off this page with the Annie Sequins in aqua, yellow and some transparent ones.
On the last page I added one picture in color and black and white, and decorated it with a blush Emily Chipboard Flair button and the ampersand die cut of the Annie Collection. Here you can also see how the ribbon is glued into the backside of the cover.
I hope you like my mini book with so many different and colorful FJ kits and you feel inspired to try out your own.
Thank you for stopping by today! xx Ulli
