Hello FJ fans,
Anne here with a new layout. This time I used more natural colors plus some blue for my page. I had this photo from a vacation years ago; our feet stuck in some mud, dirt everywhere and brown tones on the whole photo. Not my favorite color. But now I had the perfect idea how to use it and the stash kit I made last month was a great help.
I started with the photo and layered a lot of scraps (and by scraps I mean papers that were smaller than the photo) under it. After I glued down everything I started the title work. There was a lot of dirty 'white' space on the picture and I thought it was perfect for a cluster. I began with large alphas, then I layered another word on it with an different alphabet. With a word sticker, a little puffy heart and one of my beloved chipboard flairs, I finished the cluster.
For the background I just put some water in my black water color and tilted everything over my white background cardstock. The random big splatters are a great addition to all the mud on the photo.
I cut out a little bag from an FJ cut file and used it for my journaling. To finish the 'dirty look' I printed my text on some white cardstock and ripped the edges. Some crepe paper and some silicone hearts to decorate the pocket and the layout is done.
I had a lot of fun moving out of my typical candyish comfort zone. Maybe you want to try out something similar. I'm excited to see your projects!
