My Boys Layout with the Amber Collection | Ulrike Dold
Hi friends,
Ulli here with you today sharing a new layout with the wonderful Felicity Jane Amber Kit with you. This kit is so beautiful and again the perfect mix from super cute patterned papers and pretty and versatile embellishments. Working with FJ kits is always so easy, because every single piece fits so perfect together and the results with them are always amazing!
This time I was inspired by the wonderful autumn color palette in mustard yellow, soft pink and a little bit blue and by all the pretty patterns. I had directly the idea to make layout with a wreath with many leaves.
First I cut out many leaves in different sizes with my Silhouette Cameo. I used the gorgeous FJ Leaf Cut File, which you can find in the Silhouette Store, and the papers Stripes & Gingham, Swiss Dot & Curves, Ikat & Diagonal and Floral & Dots. From some of the papers I used both sides, from others only one.
I arranged all my paper leaves in a circle on the top of my 12x12 cardstock in white. To make it more interesting I leave the wreath above open and let it end at the border of my paper. I glued all the leaves on the page and stitched with my sewing machine and mint yarn three times over the wreath. I placed my black and white photo from my two boys on the right side and decorated it with the Amber Die Cut Shapes „A million little things“ and „thankful", the Amber wooden heart and a mini clip in black. Then I printed my journaling on vellum and glued it above my photo. I used 3 D pads to give the picture and the journaling some dimension. Then I glued the scalloped Puffy Boarder under my photo.
I decorated two of the cute Amber Chipboard Ampersands with yarn and knotted two of the cute Zoey Tiny Tags on them. Then I glued them on the wreath. I fussy cut some of the small leaves from the Ribbons & Leaves paper and add them here & there on the wreath. I also add some of the Amber Die Cut Shapes and two wooden pieces on the wreath.
For the title I used the cute Amber Puffy Alphabet and the Lola Mini Puffy Alphabet. I love it to mix different alphabet stickers and the Amber Alphabet Stickers with its different colors are so very special and beautiful. To fill the empty bottom of my page I teared the paper a little bit and used my stapler to fix the paper. Then I glued the lovely Gingham paper behind it and decorated it with some leaves (cut outs and a blue Amber leave die cut shape).
I splattered some gold and black ink across the page and stamped with the Amber „Cozy“ stamp on two leaves from the wreath and with the „Happy“ stamp on the pinkish leave on the teared paper fissure. Then I finished off the layout with some Henley Epoxy Dots and some of the cute Zoey Mini Puffy Hearts in green and black. At least I stamped the date with the FJ roller date stamp under the picture.
I hope I could inspire you and I can’t wait to see more projects with the gorgeous Amber collection from you although many of you are probably in the December Album mood. Next time I will show you some insights from my December Album again. Until the next time!
xx, Ulli
